As the students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kharagpur gets 100 percent placement in top organisations, the Cost to Company (CTC) also increased as compared to previous year.
As the students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kharagpur gets 100 percent placement in top organisations, the Cost to Company (CTC) also increased as compared to previous year.
To a surprise, IIT Kharagpur's Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) students got a jump of 14.18 percent jump in average CTC.
Details of CTC offered:
- The batch of 2014-16 has achieved highest CTC of Rs 21.17 lakh
- While, the average CTC attained by students is Rs 14.01 lakh
- In the first phase of placements, 98 percent students got placed
- The Pre placement interview (PPI)/ Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) conversion was also close to 90 percent
- For the batch of 2015-17, VGSoM has also concluded the summer placements and for the first time 24 companies visited the campus
- Also, around 97 offers were given to students with average compensation increasing to 30 percent
- Students were given average stipend of Rs 76,880
- The highest domestic stipend given was Rs 1, 50,000
- The highest international stipend was Rs.5, 00,000
- Moreover, international summer internship was offered at VGSoM students for the first time
The companies that participated in the placement process of 2015-17 were BCG, Accenture, Titan Company Ltd., National Instruments, Nomura, Wipro, PWC, Maersk Line, McCain, Myntra.com, ABP, Spencer's, BlueSt and among others.
