While sharing her success, Tina Dabi said, "It feels incredible. I still can't believe that I have topped the exam. It was my first attempt. I am excited and waiting for a new learning experience."
Being an alumni of Lady Shree Ram College, Tina has always been an all rounder.
Moreover, she gave full credit of her to success to her mother, Himali Dabi, who took voluntary retirement as Engineering Service Officer (IES) just to support her each and every second.
Not to forget, Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan is the second topper who comes from Anantnag in South Kashmir.
Currently, Amir is undergoing training for Indian Railway Traffic Service which he got in the first attempt.
Why does Tina want to join as an IAS officer in Haryana?
- To contribute towards fair sex ratio
- "I always wanted to work in a challenging state. That is why I chose Haryana. We all know the sex ratio of girl and boy child is quiet less and that is why I would like to contribute my efforts for the empowerment of women there," she said
- Also, she said that women should be given more chance to work in administration
- "Women empowerment is very important. I have seen how my mother has brought up me. It is because of her guidance and support that I could get top position in the test," Tina added
- While looking at social problems prevailing in Haryana, the state need to do a lot of hard work to bring women at par with men.
Also, Delhi-based Jasmeet Singh Sandhu, an Indian Revenue Service officer, has secured third rank in the UPSC examination.
Besides getting wishes from friends and family, Tina Dabi was congratulated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Twitter.
