Government forms 'Disha' for timely implementation of Central Schemes

The Centre has announced the formation of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC) in place of the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee (DVMC) and to be named Disha for effective implementation of Central government schemes. Instruction has been issued to hold the first meeting of DISHA on 13th of next month. The meeting of the committee once in every Quarter has been made mandatory.

Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation Narendra Singh Tomar stated that Disha will monitor the implementation of 28 schemes and programmes of Ministry of Rural Development and other Ministries to promote synergy and convergence for greater impact. The main purpose of this Disha committee will be to coordinate with Central and state governments and local Panchayats for successful and timely implementation of the schemes.

So let's discuss some questions related to this post:
1. The government has formed which committee for timely implementation of Central Schemes?
2. Who is the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation and also expand the term DDCMC and DVMC?
