PM Modi to lay foundation stone of AIIMS in Gorakhpur, UP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and revival of fertilizer factory which was closed for the last three decades in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh today. Recently only, the Union Cabinet has approved the setting up of AIIMS under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,011 crore. The PMSSY scheme aims at correcting the regional imbalances in the availability of affordable and reliable tertiary level healthcare in the country and to augment facilities for quality medical education in under-served or backward states.
However, earlier the Union Government has approved the revival of the Gorakhpur fertilizer plant along with Barauni and Sindari units. The new fertilizer factory at Gorakhpur will be gas based and the gas will be supplied through the pipeline to be laid by the Gas Authority of India from Haldia to Jagdishpur via Gorakhpur. There he will also unveil the statue of late Mahanth Awedyanath at Gorakhnath temple in the city.
So let's discuss some questions related to this post:
1. PM Narendra Modi is going to lay the foundation stone of a new AIIMS at which place?
2. Name the person whose statue will also be unveil by PM Modi at Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur?
