Srini Gopalan quits Bharti Airtel and going to join Deutsche Telekom


Consumer business director of Bharti Airtel Mr. Srini Gopalan has quit the company and is all set to join Deutsche Telekom from October 1st as a member of new board management for Europe business. Mr. Gopalan had joined Bharti in 2013 from Vodafone UK, where he was working as the director for consumer business. In Bharti Airtel, Gopalan was the in charge of increasing data usage by Bharti’s subscribers, where he also led the rolling out of app services including Wynk. 

Mr. Gopalan is a management graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He began his career with Capital One, a US-based financial services company, from where he joined T-Mobile of UK as managing director in 2009, and later as chief marketing officer. Later he also joined Vodafone UK as its director for consumer business and work there for three years before moving to Bharti Airtel in India in a similar role.
