Tata STRIVE skill development centre launched in Hyderabad


Tata STRIVE, an initiative of Tata Community Initiatives Trust, launched its first Skill Development Centre (TSSDC) centre. The centre will equip the youth in the State with skills in BPO, banking, financial services, insurance and retail industries to make them employable.

The 17,000-sq ft facility in Kukatpally was inaugurated by Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.The centre can seat 240 students and offers courses that span six weeks to 16 weeks, Anita Rajan, Chief Operating Officer of Tata STRIVETata STRIVE, the first Group CSR programme of the Tata Group, addresses the pressing need of skilling India's youth for employment, entrepreneurship and community enterprise. Located at Kukatpally, the centre has ten classrooms/labs which can accommodate up to 240 students at any given time. The training programmes range from 6 to16 weeks, and includes on-the-job training.
