Abhinav Bindra kept India's hopes alive for a medal in shooting as he made it to the medal round of the 10m air rifle event in Rio.

Sadly, India's other medal hope, Gagan Narang failed to make the cut.
Bindra had a final score of 625.7 while Narang got 621.7.

Bindra created history in 2008 by becoming the first Indian to win an individual gold medal. This is his last Olympics, and he will be looking to leave in a blaze of glory.
He maintained an early lead by staying in the top 8 in all the series while Narang faltered.
