Assamese Litterateur Mahim Bora passed away
Eminent Assamese litterateur Mahim Bora has passed away due to old age problems. He was 92 years old. He was a Padma Shri (2011) and Sahitya Akademi winner. He had received the Sahitya Akademi award for his most popular work ‘Edhani Mahir Hanhi’ in 2001 and the Assam Valley Literary award in 1998.
Mr. Mahim Bora's literary works include ‘Kathanibari Ghat’, ‘Bohubhuji Tribhuj’, ‘Eai Nadir Sonte,’ ‘Mai Pippali Aru Puja’, ‘Rati Phula Phul’, ‘Barayatri’, ‘Chakravat’, ‘Much aru Manuh’, ‘Top’, ‘Tinir Tini Gol’, ‘Putala Ghaiz’, ‘Herowa Digantara Maya’. His ‘Chinta Bichitra’ is a work on criticism.
