First phase of Muskan-II brings 1051 kids home
The Operation Muskan 2 started by Odisha Crime Branch successfully rescued 1,051 missing children from various places across the state, in its first phase. This operation was started on July 25 jointly by the Crime Branch in association with the Women and Child Development Department to rescue the children safely.
The main objectives of the ‘Operation Muskan’ are to Rescue and Rehabilitation of the missing children,Integrating the activities with Child protection activities in the state, Capacity building of district level SJPU to tackle the issue of missing children, Develop greater co-ordination of Social Welfare department functionaries, CWCs, SJPUs, NGOs and community organizations at district level as part of the Integrated Child Protection Scheme operational throughout the country.
