Zaheer Khan gets MCC's Honorary Life Membership
Zaheer Khan, former India pacer has been inducted as an Honorary Life Member of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). He is the third Indian player to receive the distinction this year after Virender Sehwag and Anjum Chopra.
Honorary life membership is awarded by the MCC committee to individuals in recognition of their contribution to cricket and projects surrounding the game, often over a very long period. Zaheer retired from international and first-class cricket in October 2015, having taken 311 wickets in 92 Tests and 282 wickets in 200 One-Day Internationals. He has played three Tests at Lord's, bagging 11 wickets at an average of 26.36.
