Well, very few people choose to go off the beaten path. Vivek and Juli Cariappa are one of the few people who chose to find peace at Heggadadevana Kote, a remote place situated 50 km away from Mysore.
After spending most of our precious time being city slaves, there comes a time where you want to escape from the noise and settle down in a quaint, little place that allows you to breathe pure air and eat healthy. Going by the same idea, this Delhi couple left their secure, high paying job and settled near Halansur. Their plan was simple. Buy land, produce their own crops, and survive.

Today, they stand on their farm named Krac-A-Dawna, which has a variety of organic crops spread over 40 acres! Some of their crops are transported to Wildlife Resort Orange County and their cotton goes to Just Clean Cotton, a UK website that makes organic products. Even their kids Kabir, Azad and Sukanya are involved in farming.
The family hosts experimental tours for agriculture enthusiasts. They only choose people who they think can adapt to a strenuous, yet productive farming life. Recipients of Krishi Pandit awards, Vivek and Juli took a leap of faith along with their desire to give Mother Earth the respect she deserves through nurturing and conservation.
Urbanisation is taking away the whole essence of healthy living. Not many choose rural life over urban. However, when people like Vivek and Juli do so, they are sure to set a successful example for others to follow.
