Filmmaker K G George to be Honoured With J C Daniel Award
National award winner and veteran director K G George has been selected for the JC Daniel award 2015, Kerala Government's highest honor for outstanding contribution to Malayalam cinema.
The annual award, named after JC Daniel, who made the first silent movie in Kerala, was announced by the Office of the minister for cinema A. K. Balan. The award, conferred by the state government annually in recognition of an individual's contribution to Malayalam cinema, comprises of Rs 1 lakh and a citation.
