Vadodara to host world power ministers at 'Switch' summit

The Country's largest electrical summit "Switch" is going to be held in Vadodara during October 6-10. The Power Ministers of 30 - 35 countries are likely to join this global electric expo summit. The summit is promoted by Gujarat Government and includes top officials of power utilities from over 90 countries and buyers, sellers, consultants, researchers, and entrepreneurs from across the globe. Apart from global leaders, the summit will also witness a two-day meet of State Power Ministers under the leadership of Union Power Minister, Piyush Goyal, on October 6-7.

SWITCH Summit is likely to see over 100,000 visitors, and over 200 buyers from Europe, 75 buyers from West Asia and over 1000 top corporate from India and is going to be a mega event like Vibrant Gujarat. The summit will also have Innovation and Technology summit as part of it, thereby providing a platform to start-ups and entrepreneurs. It will open new avenues for Indian electrical equipment industry in territories like Vietnam, Myanmar and African region, where China predominantly controlled trade.
